THE BASICS

What roof rejuvenation actually is

A treatment for the shingle itself, not a coating and not a repair.

Roof rejuvenation is a spray-applied treatment, branded Go Nano, made to restore flexibility to asphalt shingles that have aged but are still in sound shape. Asphalt shingles rely on oils to stay flexible. Over time, sun and weather pull those oils out of the shingle. The shingle dries, gets stiff, and slowly loses its ability to shed water and flex with temperature swings. The treatment soaks into the shingle and helps put some of that flexibility back.

It helps to be clear about what this is not. Rejuvenation is not a paint or a coating that sits on top of the roof. It is not a patch, and it is not a repair. It works on the shingle material itself, with the goal of getting more useful life out of a roof that is still doing its job. Think of it as one option for slowing down aging, not a way to bring a failed roof back to life.

GOOD CANDIDATES

When rejuvenation makes sense

The best candidate is a roof that is aging but structurally sound. That means the shingles are intact and in place, there are no active leaks, and the deck underneath is solid. The shingles have simply started to dry out and stiffen with age and sun exposure. If that describes your roof, rejuvenation may be worth a look.

The only way to know for sure is to have someone get on the roof and check. A roof inspection tells us whether the shingles still have enough life in them to benefit, or whether age has already taken too much of a toll. We would rather tell you honestly where your roof stands than talk you into a treatment it cannot use.

Field Note

An honest answer sometimes costs us the sale. If your roof is not a candidate, we will say so, and we will explain what it does need instead.

BE HONEST

When rejuvenation is not the answer

Here is the part some companies skip. Roof rejuvenation is not for damaged, leaking, or failed roofs. If shingles are cracked through, curling hard at the edges, or missing, if most of the protective granules are gone, if there is water getting into the home, or if the deck feels soft underfoot, a treatment is not going to fix any of that.

A roof in that condition needs roof repairs or, if it has reached the end of its life, a full roof replacement. Rejuvenation postpones a replacement on a sound roof. It does not replace one that is already needed. Spraying a treatment on a worn-out roof would waste your money and leave the real problem in place, so we will not do it.

THE PROCESS

How we decide if your roof qualifies

Everything starts with an inspection, and inspections are free. We look at the shingles up close, check the deck and flashing, and note the overall condition of the roof. From there, your roof usually falls into one of three groups: a sound roof that is a good candidate for rejuvenation, a roof that needs some repairs first, or a roof that has reached the point where replacement is the honest recommendation.

If your roof is a candidate, we will walk you through what the treatment does and, just as important, what it does not do. You will get a clear picture before you decide anything. If you would like to set that up, you can reach out to our team or call us and we will get you on the schedule.

GOOD STEWARDSHIP

A cost-saving option when it fits

A roof is a big investment, and getting more life out of one you already have is good stewardship of your money and your home. When a roof is a genuine candidate, rejuvenation can delay the cost of a replacement and keep a sound roof out of the landfill a while longer. That is a real benefit when the roof supports it.

When replacement is the right call, we will tell you, and we will help you plan for it rather than rush it. If cost is a concern, our financing options may help you spread out the expense of a new roof. Either way, the goal is the same: the most honest, sensible path for the roof you actually have. As a veteran-owned company, that straight-talk approach is how founder Brian Zimmerman has always wanted us to work.

FAQ

Common questions about roof rejuvenation

What is roof rejuvenation?

It is a spray-applied treatment, branded Go Nano, that restores flexibility to aging asphalt shingles. As shingles age, they dry out and stiffen. The treatment soaks into the shingle to help put some of that flexibility back, with the goal of extending the life of a roof that is still sound.

Is my roof a candidate for rejuvenation?

It depends on the condition of your shingles and deck. A roof that is aging but intact, with no leaks and a solid deck, may be a good candidate. A free inspection is the only reliable way to know. We will check the roof and tell you honestly where it stands.

Can rejuvenation fix a leak or damaged shingles?

No. Rejuvenation is not a repair. It does not seal leaks, replace missing shingles, or fix cracked or curling ones. A roof with those problems needs repairs or replacement first. We will point you toward what the roof actually needs.

Does rejuvenation replace the need for a new roof?

No. It can postpone a replacement on a roof that is still sound, but it does not replace a roof that has reached the end of its life. When a new roof is the honest recommendation, we will tell you plainly.
