Terms of Service

The rules for using VerityRoofing.com, written in plain English. Effective July 1, 2026.

The Basics

Start With the Short Version

These Terms of Service govern your use of VerityRoofing.com, the website of Verity Roofing & Exteriors in Castle Rock, Colorado. By browsing the site, reading our guides, or sending us a request, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

We wrote it the way we talk with homeowners: directly. No legal maze, no gotchas. Where the law demands formal language, a plain-English note sits right below it.

Related policies live on their own pages: our privacy policy explains how we handle your information, and our accessibility statement covers how we keep the site usable. If anything here is unclear, contact us and a real person will answer.

Plain-English Summary

Use the site honestly, treat our content as education rather than a binding quote, and know that actual project work happens under a separate written contract. That's most of it.

Website Content

Treat Our Content as Education, Not a Contract

We publish a lot about hail, wind, and the freeze-thaw cycles that wear on Colorado roofs, because informed homeowners make better decisions and the fear of an expensive mistake is real.

Educate first, sell second.

Here's the legal line. Everything on this site is general information. It isn't advice about your specific roof, and it isn't a binding estimate, quote, or offer. Two houses on the same street can need different work. Until we've inspected your roof and we've both signed a written contract, nothing on this website commits you or us to anything.

How website content differs from a signed contract.
What You See HereWhat It IsWhat It Isn't
Guides and articlesGeneral education about roofing and Colorado weatherAn assessment of your specific roof
Service descriptionsAn overview of work we commonly doA promise of scope, timeline, or price
Project photosThe kind of work we doA guarantee of identical results on your home
Anything about costA starting point for a conversationA binding estimate. Only a signed contract sets price.
Requests & Scheduling

Know How Inspection and Estimate Requests Work

Sending a form or calling 303-500-1667 starts a conversation. Nothing more. You're not obligated to hire us, and we're not obligated to perform work. Here's what happens:

  1. You reach out

Tell us what's going on: a leak, storm damage, an aging roof, or just a question you want answered honestly.

  2. We confirm a time

A real person follows up to schedule your free roof inspection.

  3. We inspect and tell you the truth

If there's no damage, we say so and shake your hand. If repair beats replacement, we recommend the repair. Even when it costs us the bigger job.

  4. You get it in writing

If work makes sense, we prepare a written proposal. Nothing is binding on either side until we both sign a contract.

Pro Tip

Worried a roofer will invent damage to force a claim? Fair. We won't pressure an insurance claim when the damage isn't legitimate. Honest inspections are the whole point.

Fair Use

Use the Site Fairly and Respect Our Work

Our content and trademarks

The text, photos, graphics, and layout of this site belong to Verity Roofing & Exteriors or our licensors. Manufacturer names and certification marks belong to their respective owners. Read, print, and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. Copying, scraping, republishing, or selling our content requires written permission.

Acceptable use of the site

Most visitors will never need this section. Still, you agree not to:

  • Break into, probe, or overload the site or its hosting
  • Introduce malicious code or interfere with other visitors
  • Submit forms under a false identity or with someone else's information
  • Run bots that scrape or mass-download content
  • Use the site for anything unlawful

We may suspend or block access for anyone who abuses the site.

We'd rather never have to.

Third-party links and embeds

Some pages link to or embed outside resources: manufacturer websites, mapping tools, financing services. We don't control those sites. Their terms and privacy practices apply once you leave ours, and a link isn't an endorsement.

The Legal Part

Read the Formal Disclaimers,
Then the Plain English

Disclaimer of warranties for site content

The website and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We work to keep information accurate and current, but we don't warrant that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure.

In plain English: we do our best with the site, but we can't promise perfection in web content.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verity Roofing & Exteriors won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits rights that can't be waived under applicable law.

Indemnification

If your misuse of the site or violation of these terms brings a third-party claim against us, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Verity Roofing & Exteriors and its team from the resulting losses, including reasonable attorney fees.

Watch Out

These sections cover the website, not roofing work. Once we're on your roof, your signed contract governs, and it spells out responsibilities in far more detail.

Housekeeping

Governing Law, Updates, and Severability

Colorado law governs

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes about the website belong in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.

We may update these terms

When we do, the effective date at the top changes and meaningful updates get a clear note. Keep using the site afterward and you're accepting the revised terms.

If one part fails, the rest still applies

Courts sometimes strike individual clauses. If that happens here, the affected provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and everything else stays in effect.
